Can I get a good knowledge of wing chun from video lessons?
Rob's Reply:

You can get good knowledge about Wing Chun through videos. However, you have to remember that you have to use what you know.

And if you can mix in live training with advanced students or sifus then you will be better off.

Videos are great for broadening your knowledge quickly and inexpensively (compared to flying around the world to touch hands with different students and sifus).

Wing Chun training videos are great for going deeper in certain area like forms, strikes, etc.

And video is a powerful teaching tool because you can repeat a lesson over and over again. I can't tell you how many times I've been in class and forgotten what sifu taught just a few days later. With video, the rewind button is your friend.

Video is also powerful because, like a dummy or any other self-training tool, it allows you to train whenever you want. You don't have to wait or depend on a partner, you can train late at night, on the weekend, while you're on the road... whenever it is convenient to you. The more hours you train (properly) the better off you are.

If you're looking for the top Wing Chun training videos, by nearly 100 top sifus, the best resource around is the WingChunLife Video MASTERY library.
